Bio: De jonge Marc de Maar tekende in 2000 een juniorencontract bij Rabobank. In 2001 liet hij al meteen wat zien door de junioreneditie van de Classique des Alpes te winnen. In 2004 en 2005 reed hij in de opleidingsploeg van de Nederlandse formatie en met name in 2005 boekte hij enkele mooie resultaten: een etappe en de eindzege in de Tour du Loir-et-Cher en twee etappes in Olympia's Tour. In 2006 maakte De Maar zijn profdebuut.
